Five Rifles HD

A confederate captain (Larry Thor) assembles a group of condemned prisoners and swears them into the Southern Army. Because of a manpower shortage, they've been recruited for a hazardous mission, with pardons as the reward. The five of them ride to a stage junction, there to waylay a Union shipment of gold and a key Southern turncoat, and bring them both back. Naturally, none of the group plans to keep their oath, especially after they see Shalee (Dorothy Malone), the sexy woman who helps tend the stage stop.

The action never becomes particularly exciting, and the film peters out to a predictable ending right on time - one of the five just voluntarily rides away from the conflict, and isn't even shot in the back in the attempt. When Five Guns West is over, we feel we've just seen a generic demonstration of the minimal requirement to get a theatrical release in 1955. That's not exactly the same as being entertained.

Five Rifles HD

MGM's DVD of Five Guns West, a relatively miniscule production, has been given a separate release, while many of AIP's better-known films are sandwiched into Midnite Movies double bills. The box text is careful not to describe the film as an epic, but the really suspicious element of the release is the cannily-crafted cover art. MGM may have had no stills to work from - Corman might not have had a still person on the film! The image we see on the cover, if I'm not mistaken, appears to have been Photoshop-adapted from group shots for The Magnificent Seven. The five men pictured certainly don't resemble our leads. The image of the rifle-toter on the back looks similar to still art for Quigley Down Under, and The Long Riders. It's just a hunch.

Floyd Crosby's functional color cinematography for Five Guns West is nicely registered in the good original film element, which starts with five pistols shooting at the camera, as a background to the modest titles. The encoding looks good, as it should, since there are only 82 minutes or so of video on the disc.

A complaint was unsealed today in federal court in Brooklyn charging Jamel Clarke, Dwayne Harris, Rayon Lovett, Owen Welch and Ronald Welch with engaging in a gun trafficking conspiracy dating back to September 2021, involving the sale of at least 28 firearms, including multiple AR-15-style semi-automatic rifles and AK-47-style assault rifles. At least two of the guns had been previously used in four separate shootings in Brooklyn. Dwayne Harris and Pheod Khan were also charged in the complaint with engaging in a crack cocaine trafficking conspiracy. An additional defendant is also charged in the drug trafficking conspiracy and remains at large.

The deals often occurred in the middle of the afternoon and in broad daylight, with the dealers sometimes walking down public streets carrying bags of dangerous firearms past residents. Many of the guns were high-powered shotguns and rifles and included extended magazines and drum clips. Some of the guns had defaced serial numbers so that they would be untraceable by law enforcement. At least two of the guns had been previously used in four separate shootings in Brooklyn.

Better regulating devices marketed as stabilizing braces. In June 2021, ATF issued a proposed rule to better regulate when devices marketed as firearm stabilizing braces effectively turn pistols into short-barreled rifles subject to the National Firearms Act. These braces can make a firearm more stable and accurate while still being concealable. ATF is reviewing public comments in response to the proposed rule, the next step in the regulatory process.

Five firearms have been recovered on Richmond Public School properties during the past three years, according to information obtained by VPM News through a Freedom of Information Act request. Those incidents happened at five different schools: Franklin Military Academy, Armstrong High School, River City Middle School, Huguenot High School and the Richmond Technical Center.

The gunman who attacked an Independence Day parade in Highland Park city of Illinois state, killing at least seven people, legally bought two high-powered rifles and three other weapons despite authorities being called to his home twice since 2019 after he threatened suicide and violence, police have said.

Gun owners are more likely than non-gun owners to have ever contacted a public official to express their opinion on gun policy. About one-in-five gun owners (21%) say they have done this, compared with 12% of non-gun owners.

One in five U.S. gun owners who obtained a firearm in the past two years did so without a background check, according to a new national survey conducted by researchers at Northeastern University and Harvard University.

Crimson Trace specializes in laser sights but have exploded into the optics market with riflescopes and red dots. With their selection of scopes, they offer various reticles from BDC and Long Range to Muzzleloader, Mildot, Rimfire, and more. All CT scopes are covered under their Lifetime protection plan that is a no receipt and no registration required, lifetime warranty.

If you're an optics freak, then there's a 100 percent chance that you know who this prodigious optics company is... they're also optics fanatics themselves. NightForce has a wide and five-star reputation with not only their tactical scopes, but their hunting scopes too. There's nothing that they can't make.

Trijicon is an established authority in the optics industry. Known for innovation and quality, Trijicon is a household name among the military, law enforcement, competition, and hunting communities. Though the ACOG is a leading optic, they offer hunters specifically designed riflescopes for long-range, whitetail deer, illumination, big game in extreme environments, and more. Covered with a 5-year warranty on the illumination, the scope is covered for life to the original owner.

Today, I'll discuss the Delta Optical Stryker HD 4.5-30x56 riflescope. This scope has been on the market for at least five years now. It went through several upgrades since it debuted at IWA 2017.

Delta Optical has never referred to Stryker riflescopes as being "first generation" or "second generation." In this article, we'll look at the third-generation Stryker HD 4.5-30x56. I'll call it the 2020 edition. It's a lot different from what it was in 2017. I go over the fundamentals briefly.

Delta Optical is a company based in Poland. It is known for providing probably the best value for money with most of its products. Delta Optical Stryker riflescopes are made in Japan. The inscription on the scope reads "Made in Japan."

Delta Optical made a very smart decision by releasing Stryker 4.5-30x56 riflescope. They started with this American business model, but they applied it to the European market, and they know the European market quite well.

The illumination system has 11 settings and it's meant for low light use only. The illumination is not usable during the day, which isn't necessary since this is not a wide-angle CQB scope. It's a long-range technical riflescope. The illumination system is well-made. The only thing that is lighted with the DLR-1 reticle is the center dot, which is ideal.

The turrets on Stryker HD 4.5-30x56 riflescope have been improved, as I previously stated. They feature a locking mechanism. The turrets have 10 MIL of travel per one revolution, 100 clicks in one turn. That's ideal for performing all kinds of calculations.

The field of view is 8.3 meters per 100 meters wide. It could have been better, but it's not a major problem. There is no tunnel effect in the riflescope. Some scopes have a tunneling effect at low magnifications. It doesn't exist in this one.

The apparent field of view on this riflescope is not the best. You do see a little bit of black around the image at all magnifications. Still, in this price class, it's more than decent. But if you compare this scope with those, that cost 3000 euros or more, you will notice that the apparent field view is a little bit smaller.

The recipe for this riflescope was created by Vortex, but other companies like Delta Optical wanted to duplicate it. Delta pulled this off at the lowest price point imaginable. They're less expensive than Athlon, Primary Arms, and all the other manufacturers.

This is also the reason why these scopes are so immensely popular. The reason why so many people buy them is that they cover 95% of all the needs of all the shooters for an affordable price point. Delta Optical Stryker HD 4.5-30x56 riflescopes are durable and don't break down. They function well and have all the components required.

On Wednesday morning, TSA officers caught a Fredericksburg, Virginia, woman with a .380 caliber handgun and a gun magazine loaded with five bullets in her carry-on bag. Shortly afterward, a Florida man was stopped with a 9mm handgun loaded with 15 bullets plus two additional gun magazines with 45 bullets and a tactical knife in his carry-on bag. Then, this afternoon, a Wisconsin man was prevented from carrying his 9mm handgun loaded with five bullets, including one in the chamber, from getting through the security checkpoint.

Nationwide, TSA officers detected 3,257 firearms on passengers or their carry-on bags at checkpoints last year, although the total number of passengers screened at airport checkpoints across the country fell by 500 million compared to 2019 due to the pandemic. The result was that twice as many firearms per million passengers screened were detected at checkpoints in 2020 compared to 2019. In 2020, TSA caught approximately 10 firearms per million passengers as compared to about five firearms per million passengers in 2019. Of the guns caught by TSA in 2020, about 83 percent were loaded. 2ff7e9595c
